How Rates are displayed on the checkout page
Shopify adjusts the shipping rates presented in the checkout based on the charge amount.
The checkout will always have the first shipping option pre-selected. It will always default to the first-rate (the cheapest rate in alphabetical order).
This is how the rates are ordered and displayed.
Example:
Lowest Rate ( Pre-selected by default )
Mid Rate
Highest Rate
Shopify controls and limits the access of third-party apps to the checkout page, meaning that our Postcode Shipping app can’t control the way rates display nor define the preselected rate at any instance.
