George wants to setup rates for UK + Jersey, Guernsey, & Isle of Man

George is trying to setup some rates for different places in the UK, including Jersey, Guernsey, & Isle of Man. For this, he knows he has to use wildcards because postcodes in the UK are alpha-numeric. However, he is not sure how to set up the zones so he can easily group them correctly and give them rates. We'll step you through the process.

George's Store delivery areas:

Mainland [All postcodes on the Mainland]: £5 shipping
Jersey, Guernsey, & Isle of Man [All postcodes]: £10 shipping

George has already:

Installed Postcode Shipping to her Shopify store & connected Carrier Shipping.
Navigated to her Postcode Shipping dashboard.
Created a Shipping Zone for the UK in Postcode Shipping.

Create a Region using a 'Wildcard' rule for UK Mainland:

George needs to define the exact areas he wishes to provide delivery to within the Shipping Zone 'UK'. Since he plans to ship to Mainland, he can create a Region and specify the postcodes that make up each Region.

Within a Shipping Zone (eg 'UK') click the option to Add a Region.

Give the Region a title. George uses 'UK Mainland' and keeps all of the default settings.
Scroll down to the 'Inclusion' and 'Exclusions' sections. Define a Region by entering postcodes in the 'Inclusion' field.
Once it's done, set up the rates

Create a new Zone for Jersey, Guernsey, & Isle of Man

Now, George needs to focus on these islands. Since Shopify recognize these UK Crown dependencies as separate countries, they need to be set up as such. More details about this in Dealing with changes to UK regions.

On the app, click the option to Add a Zone.

Add up the three Crown dependencies; Jersey, Guernsey, & Isle of Man

Within a the zone, click the option to Add a Region.
Give the Region a title. George uses 'Channel Islands' and he set it as Catch-all as he is intending to catch all three and give them the same rates.

Once it's done, set up the rates
