Installing Postcode Shipping

Once you've followed the Pre-install setup, you're ready to install the app. We'll guide you through this quick and simple process


Required information for install



Your myshopify.com domain. This is the domain you visit to view your Shopify admin. For example: your-shop-name.myshopify.com

A plan that supports Carrier Calculated Shipping. Available by default on Shopify Advanced and Plus plans, or by request to Shopify Support on the 'Shopify' plan.

Installing the Postcode Shipping app



In the Shopify App store look for the Postcode Shipping Rates app or access this link.

You will be redirected to your Shopify Admin to install the app.



Authorize the app within the Shopify app install flow.

The first time you log in, the app will attempt to install a carrier endpoint on your Shopify account - this is a URL in Postcode Shipping that Shopify will call to get shipping rates. If your Shopify account has carrier shipping enabled then you should shortly see a success message:



If you see an error message rather than the one above on your first use of the app then it's likely that your account is missing the Carrier Shipping feature needed for Postcode Shipping to work. You can find out more in our pre-install setup guide.

You can then proceed to set up your plan. You can choose whether to start your Unlimited development trial plan or to go directly with a paid plan:



If you decide to start your billing rightaway, you'll be redirected to approve the subscription charge.

Once you've completed this step you'll see the Dashboard of the app:



Congratulations, you have successfully installed the Postcode Shipping app and you are now able to setup your Shipping Zones, Regions and rates. Follow our guide Setting up the basics: Shipping Zones, Regions, Rates to find out how.
