# What happens if a postcode is in two regions?

If a postcode is added to more than one region, any rates set up on those regions will apply to the cart if they meet the rate rule condition -If any added.

For example:

**Region1**  
Has the **1234** postcode added in the inclusion field
Has the `Standard shipping:$8` rate configured

**Region2** 
Has the **1234** postcode in the inclusion field too
Has the `Expedited shipping: $15` rate configured

If a merchant tries to checkout using the 1234 postcode, they will get both rates available:

`Expedited shipping: $15` 
and
`Standard shipping:$8`

And your customers will be able to choose from those options.
